Taking it easy

It was a late night yesterday but what a good evening we had. We both like Martin Shaw and he was brilliant, but we also both really enjoyed the play, everything about it was spot on. Some pics from yesterday courtesy of Tina,
One of me outside the restaurant, one of me dinking the flower tea and one of me opposite the theatre.
Didn’t rush to get moving this morning but did some chores and a bit of jigsaw. Took Tina across the road to have lunch, she had a busy day tidying up loose ends getting her hair cut etc. After lunch we went to the local antique reclamation centre as Tina had seen a fountain she thought would be good in the parish hall garden. I wandered around and fell in love with an otter garden ornament, the guy said I could have it for a tenner, so you won’t be surprised that I brought it home! Tina bought the fountain for a lot more, I will go round and photograph it when it has been delivered. Haven’t decided where the otter will live yet.
We also took the rubble sack that was full again to the tip on the way back.
I decided to take a walk up to the golf club as they had the Hornsea Art Society exhibition on for a week. A very good exhibition and I could get a cuppa there as well.
The scaffolding is down form the church now after months and it is looking at its best.
Darren and Tina are having an evening out as Tina will be off on retreat tomorrow so we won’t see her for five weeks.
I have done some watering and taking it easy now.

  1. It’s really good when you go to see a play like that. You’re probably going more to see the actor than the actual play, but enjoying both is definitely a bonus. I still haven’t got over the fact the you told me he’s 80 now! 😳
Did you end up with bits of flower in your mouth after drinking that tea?
The otter was a bargain for a tenner. You’d have been daft not to buy it. Pandora isn’t quite so sure though 😊
You’ve had quite a nice day really. Little trip out, a bit of pottering, nice art to look at. Sounds spot on to me.
The church really does look nice. Not cheap, but restoration never is. Worth it though.
You’ll be on 24 hour son duties then for a few weeks. You’ll love it 😊

  2. No bit of flower when I was drinking, it actually stayed quite compact.
It has been a pleasant day, some Ron this evening would have made it even better! None forecast until Sunday now and that looks iffy.
I had been petting the man’s dogs as the reclamation place, the otter wasn’t priced and I think he decided to make it cheap for me and I wasn’t complaining,
There was a raffle at the art exhibition for a fused glass piece made by the lady I had the workshop with, so bought some tickets for that.

    1. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you won fused glass. You have an uncanny ability to win when it comes to raffles!
