Walk and garden

This morning I walked to the sea front as I was meeting Angela at Lily’s for breakfast. A much calmer sea today and I thought the sky was unusual with the the streak of blue in the second shot.
I walked back via the post office as I wanted to get some stamps and called in at the banking hub to get some cash.I actually had to queue in there today which was great, if we use it we won lose it. My ankle was aching a bit when I got home so sat with my feet up for a bit. Then went out into the garden to feed the birds and then get started on another small flower bed.
It was harder than it looked, but worth the effort.
When I went indoors my bird food delivery had arrived so I went down the garden to get it into containers in the storage dustbins and while I was out there I put four plants into the bed.
Last week when I got the veg box from the local shop it had a celeriac in it. I haven’t really cooked celeriac so looked it up this morning and before I went out I left celeriac and blue cheese soup cooking in the slow cooker. Tina Jones me in trying it this evening and it was really tasty, so will probably get one again now!
This evening I have spent an hour sorting through craft shelves and sorting stuff that can go to the charity shop!
Feet up and a bit of tv now.

  1. Glad you got out for a bit of a walk this morning. The sea definitely looks a lot calmer than lastvtime. Hope breakfast was nice.
The garden is coming on in leaps and bounds. I know you're trying to knock it into shape before the operation. You're getting there.
I really like the sound of celeriac and blue cheese soup. Nice with a bit of crusty bread I bet!
The sorting never stops. I know the feeling well. Where does it all come from? 🙂

  2. Good to start the day with a walk, hopefully they will be longer walks in the summer.
More to do in the back garden, not sure if the front will get much attention before the op!
