Today I decided to work on the bed in front of the summer house. I was going to hoe round it and then get some plants into it.
I had tidied it a while ago, but it really needs attention. I was going to hoe the bed and then get some plants in. The hoeing was okay at the back of the bed, but as I came forward there was a lot of couch grass. The when I got to a lump in the ground I could not budge it was time for the fork! Really battled to get it out and then there was so much couch grass I needed to dig the rest, and remove a few plants.
This is the removed weed and the two clumps!
I trod it down bit and then hoed it a bit more level, and then did get a few plants in.
I used this watering can yesterday and didn’t use it today as this pretty web had appeared!
We have had tea and definitely a restful evening.
You have been productive. Hopefully not too productive to make your leg want to rebel! I bet the couch grass was hard work to dig out. Looks like some good clumps there. I have to say the after pic of that bed with the plants in does make it worthwhile. The other beds around the lawn look great too. Don't you ever wish you were back in Scarborough with that postage stamp front garden? 😂
ReplyDeleteThink you definitely deserve a restful evening.......hope you get one!
The legs are twinging a bit now, but hopefully will settle. It does look a lot better.
ReplyDeleteBeen painting but bodged the writing a bit!
