Before lunch I got the wooden parts of the greenhouse done that I had painted before making the accessories and gave them another coat of paint.
After lunch I left early to try walking to Jean’s who lives near the Floral Hall. I had a short sit down in the memorial garden as the knee was a bit sore.
Some pics of the sea before I got to her house.
We had a nice chat as usual and Terry gave me a lift home which I was grateful for this evening.
I have finished the flowers and most of the accessories for the greenhouse, although I have still to assemble them all together and add some extra bits of greenery here and there, but I haven’t yet made the paintbrush and pencil as ai lost the blue cocktail stick! Cutting the minute piece of paper so that it resembles bristles and then attaching it to the cocktail stick should be fun. Will do that in daylight but have painted a wooden stick ready for use!
Going to attempt sleeping in the bed tonight, so fingers crossed!🤞
Glad you managed to get your usual Friday visiting done. Maybe a little slower than usual but at least the weather was nice for you judging from the pics.
ReplyDeleteThe wooden greenhouse parts are enormous compared to everything else. Quite a pleasure to work on for a change I bet. Although the paintbrush soon brought you back to earth with a bump 😄
Nice blossom in the memorial garden, and a handy place to have a short rest for your second visit of the day. The front looks almost summery, although pretty deserted. Can’t even see a dog walker on the beach, just the one on the prom. It is nice that Terry always insists on taking you home, and more so at the minute.
Good luck with the bed tonight, hopefully it’ll be for the whole night and no swapping for the chair half way through 🤞
It was nice to manage a bit of a walk, onward and upward but one step at a time, so to speak!
ReplyDeleteThe blossom is appearing now, such a pretty time of year. It was nice out but a pretty strong wind.
The paintbrush making should be fun 🤣
