Miserable weather, an excuse for laziness!

The temperature has been dropping today and high winds and rain have helped to make it pretty miserable weather wise. Tina had a delivery and had bought me scented spider, a pink six legged one! Very silly and cute.
I did take a walk along to the local shops and spotted this display in a charity window which was eye catching.
I wrapped a picture up as a present, hopefully enough padding for it to arrive safely. Tina and I had lunch at Lily’s Beach Cafe which was nice, the weather was rough, I only took pics from the cafe.
We had forgotten our masks so Tina drove me home to collect one no then took me to the post office to mail the package.
I have stayed in this afternoon, the new puzzle book arrived so I have done one of my favourites.
I will check out some obscure words and add a couple today.
Broigus (n.): A bitterly contentious argument; a feud.
Forfend (v): To prevent a bad thing from happening.

  1. It had been a miserable old day. It wasn’t too bad here this morning, but soon went downhill as the day went on. Bet it was nice sitting in the warm cafe watching the rough sea and weather while you had lunch. Nice not having to walk back either.
Love the pink spider, very you 😊
I like the word forfend. It sounds like what it means, which they don’t always.

  2. It has turned much colder, expecting a frost tomorrow I think. May be another lazy day!
    I liked that word too.
