Feeling livelier!

Good weather again today, so I set off to hand deliver some letters this morning. After the first one near the sea front down a private road I headed up to where Carol and Sal live. It is a block of apartments and I don’t know how you get in as I haven’t ever visited them. I rand but no answer so I went to look at the sea before heading into town.

I walked into town and stopped at The Food Shop to get some lunch. Lesley came in while I was there so we went for a coffee after we had collected our purchases. I gave Lesley her card so I just have a couple to deliver now.
This afternoon I spent some time in the garden, about an hour in the greenhouse sorting out the bird food and generally getting it organised. I had a lot of different items on sale that had short dates, and they were just jumbled in a box, they arrived when I had just had the second hand operated on.
Then I thought I would start to tidy the back garden, well, make a start!  A lot of stuff to be cut back or removed and still piles of leaves everywhere. This bed had broccoli plants to be removed.

Before starting that I gathered up the garden ornaments to put them away for the winter.
When I had pulled a couple of the broccoli plants I realised that a lot of branches and a sapling tree had come down in the storms so I got then moved to near the incinerator.
The sky began to change while I was out there.
Not a great start on the bed, but hopefully will get a bit more done tomorrow.
A couple of evening sky shots, not as dramatic as last night!

It has felt good to have been a bit more active today, so onward and upward.

  1. Sounds like you achieved a fair bit today. I know you hate sitting around so getting some jobs done will have felt good to you. Wish I had your get up and go! Think I might go out walking more if I was close to the sea, but I’d probably find an excuse not to 😊 Does look nice on the front today. A little bit of sunshine makes all the difference to the view, and the mood.
The garden is a different kettle of fish. I’d find that depressing at any time, let alone with two operated on wrists, and soooooo much tidying to do. But you got a fair bit sorted out there too, and got the Rev stuff to burn. She’ll be happy with that!
The sky wasn’t quite as nice as the previous night, but you were definitely spoiled with that one. It was still nice though.
Glad you’re feeling better for your efforts today, just don’t go too mad it!
