Tackling the quilt

Snow again this morning and Tina was off today but we had a quiet day in. The snow wasn’t so deep but it hasn’t cleared as it has got very cold during the day.

Tina had ordered some fancy cheeses, a couple of the ones we had when we had the cheese platter a couple of weeks ago. I had a birthday card to post so got some nice bread and crackers for us to have with the cheese for lunch. We did some crossword puzzles this afternoon and ate some of Tina’s scrumpy chocolates that she was given. Sounds good? Sadly my tooth didn’t think so and I managed to remove the complete top of it! I have managed to get an appointment at the dentist tomorrow and have got the top of the tooth in an envelope! No food this evening or in the morning, don’t want the filling to fall out!
I thought it was time to try the free motion quilting on the large quilt that has been partly sewn for months.  I am doing one shape at a time.
I carried on and finding it pretty challenging and have only been working at the edges! It is quite a strain on the wrists and shoulders too! But hopefully I will feel more confident the more I do.
So a pre op phone call and dentist in the morning and maybe more quilting.

  1. Shame you didn’t both get out, but it does look a bit white there so I don’t blame you for staying in. At least it stops you from slipping over on any ice that might be around. If it’s going to happen, you’ll find it! Sounds like you made up for it with the tooth though. If it’s not one thing it’s something else. You definitely seem to get more than your fair share of these things. Some poor soul is probably missing out because of you 😊 Hopefully there’ll be some of the cheese and crackers left for after you get the tooth sorted, assuming Tina hasn’t finished it off.
The quilting looks ok. Not the easiest of things to do when you’ve got bad wrists. You’ll fly through it when you’ve had the other one done and they’ve both healed.
Try not to add to your broken body parts tomorrow 😀

  2. Could have done without the broken tooth but at least it isn't hurting at the moment and will hopefully get sorted tomorrow even if only a temporary fix.
Will try and get some more of the quilting done before the other hand stops progress for a while.
