I was up very early again, the hand is winning the battle! I went out when it was still dark to put a calendar through a friends letterbox. When I got home I put the garden light on and fed the birds. I went to the local shop and got some biscuits for cheese and while I was there some Baileys salted caramel thick cream! I went out again just before ten thirty to go and get the stitches removed. It was the same nurse that I saw last week, she is really lovely. She was not impressed with the stitches and said she had never seen anything like it, it took her over quarter of an hour to remove six stitches! Three different sets of tweezers, wetting and a bit of poking! She has put a dressing on as it was bleeding a bit and she is a bit concerned that there may be a bit of stitch still in one place. She offered to see me again next week and has given me a direct line in case I have any concerns. I walked up to say hello to the sea afterwards.I ordered a larger veggie box for Christmas and it arrived today, a lovely selection and it included potatoes this time. A pic of the whole lot and just the fruit part.
I have started reading ‘The Diamond Queen’ really enjoying it so far, but not read a great deal yet.
The other day I bought a white fluffy cushion.
A bit boring you think? Well, turn it over and it is a bit different. Not just a rabbit, but the paws lift up and it is a foot warmer!!
The tiredness has got to me today, I haven’t felt on top form, but despite the discomfort of having the stitches removed the hand is actually feeling much easier.
Well I certainly hope the hand doesn’t win the battle in the end. There’s still time for it to improve, so fingers crossed it does. The early morning and lack of sleep aren’t nice though. It makes the day very long and arduous. Maybe being so tired will mean you’ll sleep well tonight, but sadly I know that’s not always the case.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem daft that you have one wrist done and they use dissolvable stitches and then in the other they use ordinary ones that have to be removed. What is the logic in that? Hopefully it doesn’t turn out that you do still have a bit of a stitch left in there. At least she sounds a really nice nurse.
The veg box looks great again. You really have done well with those. Don’t think you’ve had any naff stuff yet. Should all get used up over Christmas.
I’d guessed the cushion would be more than plain white, it’s for you after all! 😊 Very cute.
Hope the hand feeling easier is a good sign for tonight 🤞🏻
A reasonable night and feeling half human tomorrow would be good!
ReplyDeleteThe veg is bagged and stored, it always keeps well so we will enjoy it over the holiday.
