Then I made my way to see the Knife Angel again, not knowing that it was about to be taken to another city. I took more photos as since seeing it before I have seen an interview with the man who made it and it was fascinating. I also signed a condolence book and wrote a tag. They are all around the railings now and will be kept and made into a display at the Ferens art gallery.
Walking back to the station I spotted these two pigeons on a statue.
Also saw the children enjoying the water in the city centre.
Got the bus home and haven’t done a great deal this afternoon. Looking forward to Shetland tonight.
That’s great. Even though it’s a meerkat it actually looks like Freddie Mercury! I think it’ll go down well as a pressie.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great pics of the knife angel. Well worth a se nod visit to it. It really is an impressive thing. Maybe if it comes this way I might get to see it.
I looked at the statue pic for ages before I spotted the two pigeons! I even scrolled down to see if there was another pic. It’s amazing how your eyes miss stuff like that out. Or I need a visit to the opticians!
You picked a lovely day for a trip out.
Lovely weather and so pleased I got to see the angel again.
ReplyDeletePretty good trip all round and tickets ready for the weekend too.
