After lunch Tina, Mo and I set off for York. They were going to a service at the Minster and I was going to have look round and go to the Debenhams.
Quite a long journey and the car park that Tina usually uses was full with a massive queue. After that Tina drove around and we went to several car parks, all the same! So, no service for them and no look round the city for me! We stopped at a shopping area and had a coffee and a look around a couple of shops. Along some edges there were lots of little metal lizards, could see some children trying to pick them up!
I thought this tree made a good picture as I waited to meet Tina and Mo.
Tina then drove us to another shopping area to visit the Debenhams there, but sadly they didn’t stock what I was hoping to buy. But I got these two fabulous Tin’s in the reduced section. The biscuits will be great and then the tins will make fab gift boxes for home cooked treats.
Then the long drive home. Tina and I had fish and chips for tea which we enjoyed.
The other day I saw a foot scrubber for the shower, seemed like a good idea because my shower cubicle is very small and has the soak away is in an odd place. When I bend down the my head hits the sides! Tina found one cheaper on line and it arrived today, looks fun, I will soon be trying it!
Bit of tv tonight I think.
It’s a shame the trip didn’t turn out as expected. I do like the tins you got though. Very unusual and perfect with some home baked goods inside. Great pressie for anyone. The metal lizards stuck to the kerb are a great idea. We used to do it with 10p coins and watch as people tried to pick them up 😊
ReplyDeleteThe tree you spotted is very funky. Not seen one that looks as wavy as that before. You’re very good at spotting the unusual. Bit like the biscuits tins.
Hope your evening is relaxing and restful.
The tree caught my eye, quite funky as you said.
ReplyDeleteIf we had parked up in town I wouldn’t have seen the tins, so always an up side.
I thought the little lizards were great, would like something like it in the fairy garden.
