Bulbs, bulbs, bulbs.....

The fairy garden furniture was secure this morning so I put the feature outside.

This morning there was a Living Well session, this time on Tai Chi for wellbeing. It was very interesting and a good number of people turned up.
I cleared away the mugs and helped tidy up before I came home. Next weeks session is about self confidence and assertiveness.
After lunch I went  it into the back garden for a bit aiming to dig up snowdrops and Spanish bluebells. There are so many snowdrops at the back to f the garden, we weren’t aware of them last year as the area was waist high in weeds and plants!
Ther are also quite a few appearing where I cleared the yards of ivy!
I sorted out lots of carrier bags and started digging up bluebells and snowdrops and bagging them. I labelled a couple of boxes, one for the snowdrops and one for the bluebells and wrote Please help yourself. I put three bags in each box to start with, and by the time I had more ready they were disappearing, I could hardly keep up with the demand! Must have done about ten bags of each, have just a couple left, so hopefully there are some happy recipients out there! Plenty of walking from the back of one garden to the front of the other, no problem making the step count today. It was a lovely afternoon on and I did enjoy having a drink in the summer house.
When I came in I finished off a felted  hare I started a few days ago.
The last episode in this series of Grantchester tonight.

  1. The fairy garden furniture looks good. When that fairy turns round and sees it, she’ll go have a sit down for awhile instead of standing on that slab all the time!
Sounds like you’ve managed to do lots of things again today. Pretty much a normal day for you! I’m very envious of your get up and go at times. Mine seems to have gotten up and gone ☹️
I know there’s a lot of snowdrops there, but I think they look lovely when they spread out like that. Your garden is like a bulb haven, and now you’re spreading them around Hornsea too. I bet most of them are back in the ground again already. A nice change of scenery for them, and more room to spread out.
The hare reminds me of Hartley, from kids tv. He looked older, a different colour and was more flopperty though 😊🐇

  2. I was quit surprised how quickly the bulbs went, but pleased too, it seems criminal to just bin them. Some of them were so deep that I couldn’t remove them when they were near tree roots. I think we will have them popping up for years to come!
I have enjoyed learning the felting, don’t stab myself quite so often now!
