The ship on the sea was a long way off, but zoomed in to try and capture it.
I walked beyond the promenade and onto the beach, this is the view from where I sat.
I had taken water colour pencils, but the water I had taken spilt in my bag which wasn’t a good start. At one point the wind took my bag and I had to jump up and chase it , rescuing in just before it got to the sea! It was pretty rough and chilly, although the sea actually looked quite calm.
I took a couple more pictures when I gave up on the mad sketching idea!
Wasn’t going to bother putting my attempt on here, but have decided I will, it is very faint.
This afternoon I watched a black and white film, Jane Eyre, I enjoy d that.
Weather permitting Darren and I will go to the boot sale and market tomorrow.
I can honestly confirm that after knowing you the years I have, that you are without doubt madder than a box of frogs! 😊You have a lovely house and garden, and plenty of craft to do at home in the warm, but you walk to a windy damp beach on a very cold day to do some drawing! In ye olden days they’d lock you away for less 😀 I do have to say that I like the pics though and the drawing did turn out well, so well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the weather will be kinder for your Sunday trip out with Darren. Sausage sarnies and a few bargains, and if you’re really lucky a few nuts thrown in too! Perfect.
It was a bit of a crazy plan, but it blew the cobwebs away! On the way home the wind nearly had me off my feet t a couple of times! May not sketch on quite such a windy day another time!
