I got the Brasso out and got cleaning the toasting fork, very mucky and very intricate. It is a lot better and is now hanging by the fireplace, but will probably have another go it after a while.
This afternoon I dug bulbs out along the side wall in the back garden. I want that to be a path but it had bluebells and daffodils popping up everywhere. I found lots of carrier bags and bin liners and must have got seven or eight lots of each variety and put them in boxes with a help yourself sign by the side of the entrance to the driveway. They didn’t seem to be gong today but by the time Darren came home both boxes were empty!
I have been out this evening to spend a couple of hours with a friend, good natter and we both drank warm water!
I haven’t taken any other photos today but I did get this fantastic one via email.
May go into Hull tomorrow to get my train tickets for the weekend.
The toasting fork looks good now it’s had a buff. Not the easiest of things to clean.
ReplyDeleteYou’re doing well supplying Hornsea with bulbs. With the amount you’ve got in the ground still, you could be doing it for a few more years yet!
That’s a great sea pic at the end. Bet you wished you’d taken that one?!
I do wish I had taken it, but nice that I am allowed to save and use them.
ReplyDeletePlenty more bulbs where they came from and no doubt more will appear. Also, some ar so deep that the bulbs are still down there!
