The idea was to varnish the wood and then stick the items on.
Tina had to go out at lunchtime and the gas man was coming to change the two gas fires, or so we thought. When he arrived he said he had come to fit new knobs! He was a friendly and helpful guy, cleaned the fires again and checked they were working okay. Also got me to turn them on and off several times to get the knack.
While he was working June form HUG called by to give me two wisteria plants that she had been given. So when the gasman was finished I got them plants and did an hour or so weeding.
When I came in I assembled the fairy garden feature. I drilled a home for the lamp post but the other things I just stuck with the fantastic Beast glue. One of the chairs had a leg missing so I put that next to the lamp! I can paint where the glue is if it still shows when it is dry.
Should be dry enough to put outside tomorrow.
Will be watching the second part of Death in Paradise tonight. To finish I will put some evening sky pictures on the post.
Glad to hear your friend is getting out and about at least. Hopefully she’ll soon be back to 100%.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the gas fires are now sorted and there’ll be no more waiting around for gasmen 😊
I love the little garden furniture, and such a good idea to put it all on the wood to stop it blowing around the garden. The fairies will enjoy a nice glass of Pimms while sitting there of an evening 😊
All three of those evening sky pics are great. I particularly like the last one though.
I like the little garden furniture set, should fit in nicely when I put it outside. Don’t want drunk and disorderly fairies though!
ReplyDeleteGood to still get some sky pictures, will ever be quite the same as the spectacular shots from the high room in Scarborough.
