Surprise gift and crafty buys

This morning I went to the shops with the trolley, bumped into Glenys who organised the Victorian market last year, so we went for a drink nd natter. I caused a bit of chaos sending my cup of tea flying, but got my coat not the seat!
I walked up to Freeport late afternoon, had a nice chat with Mags and Aimee and ended up buying lots of card and paper as they had a good offer on, and three new dies.
I felt quite tired walking up there and as the card and paper stash was pretty heavy, caught the bus home. Darren had been to Bridlington and bought me a gift today, so cute!

One of the church members wanted some snowdrops so I went out to dig some up for him. There is this one beautiful flower in the walled garden.
I throw some mealworms onto the garden most days and the blackbirds and robin make sure they are eaten. While I was getting the snowdrops I thought is was a couple of make blackbirds and a female enjoying them, but when I checked the photo I see that I actually had a thrush eating them. That really made my day as I rarely see one these days.
I have done quite a session of cutting from the new dies, not sure I have the inclination to do anything with them this evening.
Will enjoy the dancing and Casualty though.

  1. I seem to be clumsy like that all the time, so there hope for you yet. The new dies look good and they look as though they’ve cut really well in the phot further down. I’ll look forward to seeing some finished cards using them.
The pig mug is very cute and a nice pressie from Darren. Hope you gave him a big hug. I can imagine him rolling his eyes if you did 😊
Makes a change to see a thrush. All I seem to get are starlings and pigeons. Not seen a robin in the garden for ages either. Glad to hear yours is still around.
Enjoy your programs tonight, and hopefully a nice sausage sarnie at the boot fair tomorrow.

I will try and have a card making session soon, have lots of bits now!
I was very pleased to see the thrush.
