New toy and garden

This morning I went along to the Living Well meeting, this week the speaker talked about confidence and assertiveness. Very interesting and good for thought.
I needed new bulbs for my salt lamps so walked up to the bicycle/hardware shop. There was obviously serious traffic congestion and as I got near the shop I could see why. These two lorries were not moving and it was causing chaos. Also they had blocked the exit for the undertakers and a funeral car was having to wait.
I did a bit of gardening, mostly removing more of the unwanted bluebells. I noticed the cowslips and blooming in the back garden and we. Have some very tiny daffodils in the front.

I ordered an electric die cutter a few days ago and it arrived today. My first attempts were not successful but I had another try and managed to cut a complicated bee die and one embossed piece.

Tina is home, much refreshed from her break. We had a takeaway this evening which was very enjoyable.

  1. I hope the speaker spoke in a confident and assertive manner 😊
Sorry......I just got the giggles when I read about the salt lamps, as I know the story of them.
Those large loads are huge. I wouldn’t want to be driving through a place like Hornsea. I’d be a nervous wreck!
I like the pic of the daffodils. I do like low angle pics like that. Talking of pics, the one of the lorries looks ok considering it was on your phone.
That’s an extremely complicated die cut! Bit easier than cranking a handle too I should think. I foresee a lot of nice cards being made. Shame Royal Mail have just announced that stamp prices are going up!

  2. I hadn’t heard about the increase in stamp prices, but they go up every year it seems, so I am not surprised.
They really were huge cargo on those lorries, not sure what the hold up was but they were there quite a while.
Lovely day again so enjoyed a bit of gardening and then had a play with the machine and had some success, so that was good too.
