The dippers were led in by a piper and then the volunteers who kept everyone safe.
One hundred and twenty five people took the plunge, including Tina who stopped to wave as she headed down to the sea.
I wasn’t tall enough to see the folk in th after but Darren got this shot for me.
Tina stopped to chat on the way back and to collect her towel.
We walked along the beach for a while then, Tina had gone in th car and was making her own way home. Anya spott d this unusual creature in the rocks!
Then some fun in the water on what turned out to be a beautiful day.
When we got home we all had fish and chips and then th family enjoyed an afternoon of video games.
A good day, well done Tina, hopefully lots of money was raised for the Inshore Rescue Boat team. Anya qnqd family will be going home tomorrow.
I’m amazed at the amount of people who were daft enough to take the plunge! The crowd of onlookers was way bigger than I expected too. It’s all good for the rescue boat though and I hope they raised lots. Well done Rev.
ReplyDeleteThat is an odd creature in the rocks ๐ A good pic. Isobel certainly does like the sea and the beach, even if the water is freezing! She definitely gets her daft streak from you ๐
I suppose it’s all back to normal tomorrow, apart from the water that is! Another year gone.
It really is a well supported event in the town, I hope they raised lots too.
ReplyDeleteIsobel does love being on the beach and preferably getting wet as well. It was really quite mild although I imagine the water was freezing!
