Sea, signing and sky

This morning I was going to Jackie’s house, she is one of the HUGS volunteers but she and a couple of other ladies are starting to learn sign language. I had thought it was BSL they were learning but it is actually Makaton, the alphabets are similar but Makaton is more about signs for words. I walked up to the sea before I went to her bungalow wihich is near to the sea front. The wind was very cold but a beautiful day and a fairly lively sounding sea.
The other two ladies had gone to the Jackie’s a little earlier and had to leave soon after I got there. We had a bit of a practice and then had a good natter. When I came here me she came with me with her little dog, we walked on the beach for a bit before coming into the town. She is going to be around every Wednesday morning so that we can turn up to practice.
This afternoon I was going to do some digging on the latest bed but found a bag with more bulbs in that I had bought some time ago. I went out into the front garden and planted daffodils, tulips and alliums. It began to rain so I didn’t get out to the back garden today. Took a couple of pictures of the church as the sky was quite muted and atmospheric this evening.
This evening I think I will do a little of the jigsaw. I have now done a week of the water challenge and last night for the first time I really fancied something other than water! I bought lemons and limes today so that I can have a slice in a drink of water, fruit in the water is allowed in the challenge so not cheating!

  1. You do do a lot of different things. You’ll never get bored with life, you’ll never have time 😁The sign language is a good idea. I think it should be taught in schools, as it would be so much easier to learn at a young age, and probably much more use than German and French for a lot of kids.
The shore always looks nice, regardless of weather. I like the middle of the three pics. The colours are nice.
I’m not going to comment on bulb, other than to say I hope you’ve not got more hidden stashes anywhere!
You really need a tall pair of steps to get up a bit height to be above the fence level in the garden when taking pics of the church. They’re still nice though, and you up a set of steps with a camera probably isn’t the best of ideas !

  2. I thought I should be higher as I was missing some of the sky but didn’t think the steps were a very good idea!
It was lovely by the sea today, the wind was bitter though.
I need to print off some Makaton sheets to practice and catch up a bit by next week.
