This morning I did some shopping for the weekend and some odd jobs in the house. At lunch time I went out in the garden again. The robin usually comes along to see what I am doing which is really nice, and thankfully both the cats were in at the time. Lifting the lumps of roots I realised that the slight ache round my middle was strain rather than a funny tummy, so didn’t do too much. I got a bit more of the bed done and hit plenty of tree roots as well. This afternoon I was busy in the kitchen. Made soup from left over veg, some mince pies as I had a jar of mincemeat that needed using, cooked a ham hock in the slow cooker and got our evening meal. I also tried a recipe from the just three ingredients book, I made the Parmesan crispbreads and they look good and are really delicious.
I am feeling quite tired but will try and do a bit to the jigsaw this evening.
That’s a busy day by anyone’s standards. That’s actually a fair chunk of garden you’ve done again. I know you said th3 soil is quite soft, but those roots make it a nightmare. Weekend off I hope.
ReplyDeleteYou managed a fair bit of cooking too. Lots of standing up which doesn’t help a lot. I really like the look of those crispbreads, could manage a few of them right now with a bit of Camembert. Followed by a couple of minces pies😁
Hope you gave the jigsaw a miss and saved yourself a headache to go along with your other aches!
Was a full day, no jigsaw or anything else, vegging in front of the tv!
