Looked outside at the sky, not spectacular but quite pretty.
Then I thought I had better get on with repotting the fern, some of the fronds a so long you can see then from the downstairs hall.
But successfully in its new home, with no drama and I didn’t even make a lot of mess!
I spent quite a lot of time in the garden, had a change of scene and cleared the area near the side wall so that I can get along ther easily. This area was like a two foot high, if not higher, jungle last year!
There were loads more bulbs again, we just didn’t see them last year because of the rampant weeds. I did plant a few that I dug up. Pleased with my progress, got lots of ivy and deep rooted weeds out, will try and keep on top of it now.
This afternoon it was craft group, a walk of about a mile to Doreen’s house, who was hosting it today. Just four of us but a pleasant couple of hours. I walked home via Tesco and took this next picture in the dark, quite funky!
A quiet evening ahead waiting with baited breath for the Brexit vote!
Lovely bunch of flowers. So colourful. Glad to see the fern made it into its new home without any accidents. Before you know it it’ll be twice the size.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a fair chunk of garden again today. Can’t you use the tiller on it now to keep it in hand without so much digging? Would make your life a bit easier.
I quite like the funky in the dark pic. Looks a bit watercolour....ish.
Enjoy the vote 🙄
It was more raking and digging out plants than digging it all, I want that flat, soiwllhav to check it regularly and deal with weeks as they pop up. Loads of bulbs along that path but quite a few are the Spanish bluebells which Tina wants removed.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long it will be before a host of new fronds appear on the fern.
Holby versus vote, hard decision!
Bet the fronds won’t be long arriving.
ReplyDeleteYou’re spoiled, you got to see the vote and Holby. Equally depressing too 😊
Well, watched a bit of history I suppose!
