Day two, craft and gardening

Day two of the water challenge and all is well.
This morning Tina drove me up to Freeport, she had a coffee and I had hot water! She walked up to the craft outlet with me and then went off to do a bit of shopping, I was going to a Colour theory class with Mags. It was very interesting and she had made folders for us to use.
We did pie charts and learnt about tones etc. It was basic but interesting to learn the different terms and to do a bit of mixing of paints. We all had a notebook to bring home and Mags had made us personal goody bags as the class was a freebie.
I walked home, much colder out today.
I bought Tina a picture that she liked for her special birthday and she has now displayed it on the large white easel and it looks really well on there.

This afternoon I went out in the garden, thought I would make a start on the bed near the greenhouse.
I had forgotten just how much root there was to battle with and not only that but there were plenary of old tree roots too! I only managed about a metre but it is a start.
Writing some letters this evening, maybe get out into the garden for a bit tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like a good day. Think you should definitely have had a sausage sarnie with your hot water though! Do they charge for a cup of hot water in a cafe?
Glad you enjoyed your craft class. Even if it was a little basic, it was free. That’s the best bit 😀
That is a nice picture and a very nice easel too. It’s very posh when you have a house big enough to display pictures on easels!
You managed a fair chunk of garden considering how “rooty” it is. It’ll look good when it’s full of veggies next year.

  2. There is a tree stump further back in that bed which will be fun along with the other obstacles! But a bit at a time and I will get there.
Yes, a free class was good and it was interesting.
