I waited in this morning as I had a parcel being redelivered. I had ordered a ‘surprise parcel’ supposedly worth £75 butcosting £20. It arrived late morning and it consisted of three ‘plant halos’.
To say it was hard to believe that these would have cost the twenty pound, let alone seventy five! To say I was disappointed was an understatement as I had really been looking forward to getting some garden goodies.
After the delivery I went it and managed to get a new bulb for the lamp I bought yesterday and it does now work.
I had phoned Jackie, which gave us the garden store, to see if she was around as I had th camper van biscuit tin to give her. She had been volunteering at a plot near the sea front but said she would come here when she was too cold! She love the tin and we had a good natter, we haven’t been friends long so we are still getting to know each other.
When she left I was talking to Tina who phoned the mystery parcel company on my behalf. They said that I had been sent the wrong package but could keep them if they would be useful and they would send me a replacement.
After that I went out t do a bit more to the bed in front of the summer house. I had bought some dried mealworms andtook it out with me. He was about as always and I managed to get some pics today.
That last one isn’t quite as clear, but he was cheeky, I had spilt some of th mealworms in th trug and he was popping in and out having a fine feast!
Around the tree stump that I had made a flower bed some animal had dug quite a hole, I suspect it was the squirrel as I had plqnted bulbs in there.
I am slowly getting nearer to the summer house.
The lamp is now working, one that shows it clearly and one of it in its new home.
I am very pleased with it.
What a disappointment of a parcel! Hardly worth £7.50 let alone £75! Glad to hear the Rev sorted them out on the phone. Let’s hope the next parcel they send is better value. I wait with baited breath 😊
ReplyDeleteGlad the tin was received well. They did look really nice I have to say.
The robin looks more than happy to be out there with you. A few mealworms and they’re anyones. That’s robins for you!
You’re getting along with that bit of garden. It does look like it’s hard work though. Hope you spent a bit of the time in the summerhouse resting.
I really like your new lamp. Very effective how it just glows as one complete sphere with an even brightness. Perfect for cosy evenings in front of the telly with a glass....of water 😀
The little robin makes being out in the garden more enjoyable, it flits about and chirps away and had a good winter feed today, he hops on the turned ground when I go off to empty the pink thing!
ReplyDeleteLoving the lamp, it does make the room cosy, perhaps it will make the water tastier too!
As to the mystery parcel, very much wait and see with baited breath!
