Lovely walk to the front and a bit of gardening

Yesterday evening I had a bit of a play with the felting kit again, I think I will enjoy seeing what I can make with this technique.
I was up a bit later today but when I was ready I took a walk along the front and then stopped for a sausage sandwich. Darren was off to Bridlington today but thought I would have a sandwich anyway. A really lovely day, a bit chilly but bright and lots of people about. A lot of fishermen on the beach today as well as the usual dog walkers.

A cloudy sky and a shot that made me think of the old man and the sea.

Walking back I took a picture of this eagle carving in the local second hand shop.
In the memorial garden there are a lot of bulbs coming through, most are the usual green but a couple of clumps were strangely yellow.

This afternoon I went into the garden for a short while, just to tidy a small area and to put some mealworms out for the robin.
I sensed that friendly robin was around, he was in the tree.
He liked checking out where I had been clearing and today a blackbird was getting braver.

Not a great difference but every little helps as they say!
We have dinner, I may do a bit of felting and will watch Vera with Darren and Tina later.

  1. I do love the little things you’ve already made with the felting technique. I think you should try your hand at a squirrel. I think it would lend itself to it, and I like squirrels 😊
The beach does look nice. Not exactly packed out, but the hardy folk are out and about. Fishing, or eating sausage sarnies 😊 I wonder if he caught anything for his lunch.
The eagle carving is nice. Just the sort of thing I guess you’d be interested in. I bet the shop was shut, or there’d have been a good chance it’d be pictured in your living room!
You can definitely see where you’ve been in the garden today, and I’m sure the robin was pleased to see you out there.
Enjoy Vera. I watch it on catchup.

  2. Not a bad day and the weather was surprisingly lovely.
The eagle is pretty expensive, I did go in and enquire when it was open!
Nice to get in the garden if only to catch up with my little friend. Best when the cats are indoors thought!
