Fabulous vicarage, soon to be home!

Tina and I went to Hornsea this morning, for Tina to get the keys and for us to measure up and choose colours for the rooms. All very exciting, and what a fantastic building.
Like a picture postcard! Now the rooms, Tina's office.
There are more shelves next to the door, and plenty of room for a desk and more storage. The two large reception rooms and the kitchen and utility room make up the ground floor.

Darren will have the brick built garage instead of the shed,
Outside, behind the utility room is a great little walled garden and beyond that a park pretending to be a garden!!

The back of the house and the staircase inside.

I will just show my rooms upstairs, Tina and Darren will have two similar sized rooms and there is a bathroom and separate toilet with shower in. The one that has a bright pink wall at the moment will be my sitting room.

Lot's of measuring and deciding on colours, it will all be different. A lovely day and we had a good journey back. Tina had an afternoon appointment so we stopped for a quick lunch at The Mere.

Then Tina dropped me off at Sainsbury's where I got the weekend shopping and then got a taxi home.
This evening the three of us went along to look at the auction lots as they had some nice rugs and curtains. Also some office furniture, so desks and chairs a plenty.
After that it was getting late, so we had dinner at the carvery at Scalby Manor. So a busy day, but all very exciting.

  1. Wow! What brilliant day you’ve had. Such a beautiful house and garden, I’m soooo envious :-) It’ll be so good for you all, and so different to where you are now. It’ll be the first time Darren and Tina haven’t had to squeeze into tiny parking spaces too :-) You’ll get lost in those rooms with so much space. You’ll definitely need to keep visiting the auctions to fill it up! Bet Darren loves his new shed/workshop. Not much chance of it blowing away down the garden either!
A trip to the weir and a meal out this evening just rounded off your day nicely. You’ll sleep well tonight, hopefully.

  2. A lovely day, I am pretty tired now, but in a good way.
Yes, the first time they will have easy parking, that will make a big difference too. I think I will be spending a lot of time in that garden! Working and of course relaxing, fabulous.
