Catch up day!

My mood has been much better, the pain manageable and meeting up with friends and family, so a very pleasant day, and Rachel acted as my taxi driver so fairly easy for me. I met Angie at Morrisons and we had a couple of hours and a good natter and she told me about all the changes going on at Axiom. Rachel came and collected me and drove me over to Orton so that I could have a game of Scrabble with my sister. An enjoyable game and she showed me pictures of my nieces wedding at the Tree House restaurant. She also showed me the lovely token Shani had put into her than yous and then actually gave me one of them, because they had two.

What an absolutely original and fantastic thing to do. Rachel let me know when she was on her way to pick my up and as I waited in the car park I took a couple of pictures of some pampas grass and tree as they looked glorious in the sunshine.

We came back to Rachel's house for some lunch and then we went over to see Emmie, the 97 year old lady that I used to visit regularly. She was in great spirits, is a real character and definitely still has all her marbles, she had us almost in stitches. We called in at Van Hage on the way home, had coffee and cake and looked at the Christmas displays.
Back here we nattered some more and got ready for Strictly. We had Chinese for tea, chose something a tad to hot for us as we both have rasacea and don't cope well with spicy food! A while ago their little dog Cookie was attacked by a larger dog and had to have emergency treatment for a very large wound in her neck. She is still though, as cute and crazy as usual.
Ethan, one of the boys came in with some specs on, so of course, we serious ladies had to try them for size!

All in all a good day.

  1. Sounds like you had a good day, and feeling better too is very good. A lot of that is probably down to Rachel making you laugh.
Glad to hear Emmy is still going strong. I really should make an effort and go and see her myself.
Coffee and cake at VH is usually good. They do serve very large pieces! Should do though for the price they charge.
Hope you’ve had a good day with Anya today.

  2. Had a good day thank you, tired now but really pleased I came down. The cake pieces weren't too big, and the lad cut the price as I had a weak coffee, so it was a bit of a bargain!
