I should have put this on the blog yesterday, but Darren, despite not being that keen on needles and injections, has just given his 50th blood donation. Very well done son.
I put some of my pottery together, must get the rabbit home to join the party.
This morning I stayed in, did a bit of sorting and waited for the first removal man to arrive to give his estimate, well, to take a look round to work out his estimate. After that I walked up to the studio and cleaned and filled the paint pots. Sandy was leaving early today as her mum had a hospital appointment, so I walked into town to go to Clark's shoe shop. Rachel had seen some backless mule boots which looked interesting, but they didn't have anything similar or seem to know what I was referring to, so will try to find them on line, and if that fails I will get Rachel to send me a link! I caught the bus home, which turned out to be sensible as I have had a terrible episode with the ankle this evening, but it has settled again. The sky walking down the road after getting off the bus was getting threatening.
Very misty looking too. I thought I had left the smaller camera at the studio so got the red one out, tried taking a sprig of lavender as I had been struggling to get the macro to work on the small one.
When Tina and I went to the shops yesterday she encouraged me to buy a 'clip on' spider, to clip on my hair, right?
Tina is out and I cooked Darren a nice tea, and got him some chocolates, to celebrate him reaching 50 blood donations. Tina is at a meeting in Mirfield tonight. When I came upstairs it was almost dark but the sky looked dramatic, so will post the picture anyway!
Definitely a very well done to Darren. That’s quite an achievement these days, and I bet not as many people reach that goal now as they used too. Next target....60.
ReplyDeleteSome very dark threatening skies today, but still nice. I quite like the last one even though it’s extremely dark.
Love the spider, and your expression too :-) Looks a bit like a little hat, and for some totally unknown reason immediately put Mary Poppins in my head.....yes, I know I’m weird!
Darren didn't make a big deal of it, but think he deserved a treat!
ReplyDeleteThe skies were dark at times but quite blue at times too. Terrible winds last night but it has lessened a bit during the day.
The spider pic made me giggle, very silly!!
