Deja vu!

This morning I put the new cartridge in the printer and found some squirrel pictures for reference when I start to paint the models at the studio. Also check my train times for Chester as I go in just over a week. Printed off a map of the city centre and mailed the lady I am staying with to tell her when I am arriving. Fed the Christmas cakes as well. One of them will be decorated as part of a wedding cake for Tina's service next weekend. Wasn't sure what time Tina would be in so had a play with the watercolour pens, dipping them in water to try and quieten the colours.
There aren't instructions, even the writing on the pens is Chinese, but I noticed a clear brush and used it to wet the paper before using the pens, that made them much paler so will try a picture using that method.
When Tina sent a text to say she would be on her way soon I went and waited in the front garden. Those that read early posts may remember these plants, they certainly don't give up without a fight!
We went and had a carvery dinner at Scalby Manor and then Tina took us for a drive through the countryside. She stopped to let me take photos of the sky.

After a lovely little drive we arrived back at exactly the same place, so stopped again. The sky had changed a bit and this sheep was looking directly at us, perhaps she was wondering why we were back!

We went by a different mere and Tina pulled into the car park, very peaceful place.

I have wrapped presents and got them ready to send to America, done some ironing and have enjoyed the Strictly result show. Art Garfunkel is on the Palladium show later, as well as Diversity, so will definitely be watching that.

  1. Quite a busy day, but you’ve got stuff done too. Always nice to get out for a ride, but a meal too makes it even better. Some lovely sky pics too. Always nice to have a 'willing to stop' driver :-)
Those plants certainly don’t give up easy in the garden. They’re a bit like your nemesis. You’ll never see the end of them!
Love the pic of the sheep staring at you. It really is crying out for a speech bubble of some description.

  2. Yes, good to get some bits done, especially the packages as the last recommended posting date is this week.
At least the plants are fairly easy to pull out when I spot them, unlike the digging them out and having car loads of them when we moved in!
The sheep just stood there, seemingly staring at us, it was funny.

  3. Meant to say before, but forgot as usual. I’ve seen people use those sorts of pens, and they sort of colour a patch on a tile, then use the water brush to pick up the colour and then paint as normal. But I know nothing about these things, so could be totally wrong :-)
