I spent a good while in the garden this morning, firstly roughly finished off tidying up the big bed near the road in the front garden.
Not a perfect job but a lot of stuff removed and a bit more space for the plants we want! Then I thought I would clear round what is supposed to be the rockery!
In believably overgrown. I removed a mountain of weed etc from it!
I caught the bus up to Freeport this afternoon, thought about walking back but the knees were a bit sore and I have done a fair few steps again today, so the bus it was! Nice daffodils where the nativity is in December!
Back to eagle lectern cleaning in the morning!
The church is the new castle. You’ve probably got as many pics of it now as you have of Scarborough castle. It is a nice building though.
ReplyDeleteThe front bed really does look a lot better than it did. That’s a fair bit of hard work gone into that. I remember the rockery well. Mainly humping those stones around 😊 It was was totally bare there, so it’s definitely filled out well. Maybe with the wrong things, but you can’t have everything! Looks a lot better now though.
When I went out this morning I was watching the buses drive by and it crossed my mind that I’ll soon be able to get a bus pass. Wonder if I’ll use it though. I actually think I might to get to local places like Eye, Crowland etc. But you now how easily I change my mind.
You’ll probably get a big chunk of the eagle cleaned tomorrow now you’ve perfected your technique. Once you’ve got it shiny you’ll have to give it a quick wipe over every week. Have fun.
Really getting on with the garden now which is good, giving me a bit more exercise as well. The rockery doesn’t get the rain because the bay tree is so dense, but most of the plants it it have taken.
ReplyDeleteIt will be good if you get out and about a bit once you have the pass. Reasonably short journeys should be okay.
