I had a late flowering gladioli and today it had been knocked down by the wind. I brought it indoors and have it with a fe other blooms that I had in the lovely glass vase I got at the boot sale a couple of weeks ago.
The HUGS group gathered in the front farden this afternoon and Tina handed over the money raised at the quiz night. I ended up being official photographer!
The art straws arrive today, and as I had made a cone in readiness this morning I made a start.
Went downstairs then as the sky was pretty spectacular.
After dinner I carried on with the art straw tree. Have now decided this is not the craft for me!
Not very stable and couldn’t get the top right. I have tried again now and will leave it at that!
Those ornaments look nice on those slabs, but I bet they wouldn’t be there long if you left them out front. Too many oiks about!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve had a varied day with photographing, cooking, crafting etc. Certainly more varied than my day. The second tree attempt is definitely better than the first, as the colour makes a lot of difference. So at least you’ve given it a fair go, even though you’ll probably never do another.
Beautiful sky pics, and that church is quickly becoming the new Scarborough castle in lots of shots.
I forgot to get the ornaments in, I’ll remember in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI was quite frustrated by the straw tree, but not enough to make me ant another attempt!
The sky was colourful in all directions tonight, really lovely.
