Last night I decided to try sleeping without the boot on. I didn't sleep too well, partly I have a very irritating cough and partly I think I was worried that I would knock my foot. When I get up in the night it means I have to put the boot back on, but actually not having it on in bed was a lot more comfortable.
Bright and sunny today so I caught the bus into town. The ongoing new paving is still causing chaos, I presume they are hoping to have it complete before the season really gets under way. I walked down Huntriss Row and bought some earrings in Shipton & Co, a pair for Tina who is a bit under the weather and a pair for me too of course! Then I made my way to the cliff top near the statue of Queen Victoria. It is hardly recognisable as it is in desperate need of a clean! This flower bed is near the entrance to the cliff lift.
I was quite tired so sat on a bench for a while, took a picture of the view from where I was sitting.
Near the statue is the 'Lest We Forget' bench which I really like.
I walked back along Bar Street and spotted this great piece of advertising.
I made my way up through the town, wanted a sit down, but the benches have nearly all been removed and so far not replaced! There was one left when I was almost at the bus stop.
Haven't done a great deal this afternoon, it is surprising how tiring the short walk with crutches prove to be. I did spend another hour on the jigsaw and have made a start on three of the birds. It really is quite challenging.

  1. That bench is lovely and I love the signs especially Hobbit Hole. I'm glad you are ok in the night minus the boot . How are you getting on with the jigsaw ?

  2. Slowly!! Really more difficult than it looks, all the pieces are pretty much the same shape and lots of white! xxx

  3. Just be careful you don't jump out of bed and forget you haven't got it on! The bike is great, definitely an attention grabber so it does the trick. You'll have very muscular arms by the time you've finished with those crutches :-)
