I have been quite busy today. This morning I thought I would try the to catch the bus to town, it looked lovely out but the wind was up and that made it quite chilly while I was waiting. I got off near the post office and walked up to the hairdressers and made an appointment for tomorrow. Called in to see Vanessa at the sewing centre and then went to have a cup of coffee. Went in to Debenhams and saw Georgia, she came to the upper floor with me while I looked for a travel mug, as I want to start making my tea where I usually do and not in the sitting room. Need the travel mug so that I can carry the drink through without throwing it everywhere! I was going to wait in town to meet Darren at midday but in the end I decided to get the bus home and was here by 11.40 am. We had arranged to go to lunch as Tina was out for the day, so we still did that and then just got a little shopping. Took a picture of the daffodils in the front garden as they have opened and are very pretty now.
On the way back Darren dropped me off on North Marine Road, I popped in to the quilting shop which was open and had a chat with  Sandra, then I walked over to the studio where I spent over a couple of hours cleaning and filling all the trays of paint pots. My bowl and vase had been glazed. I am happy with the bowl, the colours have come out very bright and I am glad I left the background white.

The vase I am delighted with, I really like the Sharpie effect!

Sandy brought me home so that the pottery could come with me, I am going to the studio again tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a BIG day, I will be removing the first wedge, so onward and upward!

  1. You've got around again today and kept busy. The mug is a very good idea, and I know the mug you got is a very nice one too as I've seen them often.
The bowl is lovely. I really like the chunkyness of it and the decoration is spot on. The vase is a cracker too. The design has worked perfectly on it. I love them both. You really should set up an account on a site like Etsy, as I'm sure you could sell some of the things you do very easily.
Good luck with wedge removal tomorrow :-)

  2. I am feeling much better for getting out and about a bit. The mug is great, so I am glad I got it.
Darren thinks I could sell items as well, may be something to think about.
