Went to the boot sale with Darren, he is away next weekend and the weather was good so off we went. After out usual sausage sandwich and cup of tea I wander around a couple of rows with him before heading back to the car. I got a great little notebook with woven cover and pressed paper, and on a charity stall too. It was £1 and will make a nice little pocket sketch book.

I got a couple of cds as well and played one while I was in the car, doing a puzzle, while Darren went round the rest of the very large amount of cars today. He came back with two funny little plastic money box pigs for me, quite cute, and I am in need of more ornaments too!!
We had a cup of tea at Sainsbury's on the way back and got a bit of shopping in. I planted some pretty foliage plants in the tubs earlier in the year, and they have just begun to really blossom and are even flowering. A friend had some of this plant years ago, and I did have some in Peterborough. I am glad it is in the tubs so that it can come with us when we move on.
I put some washing out and watered the bonsai trees and took another picture of the fairy garden because it is still in tact and looking good.
Have done some more knitting, but still have pieces to knit before I start sewing up and stuffing, and that is going to be pretty fiddly too! I have now caught up with Red Rock so will try and watch it regularly and use catch up quickly if I miss an episode. Will watch The Doctor Blake mystery on the drama channel later

  1. A good day for you from the sounds of it, and bargains too. I love the little notebook. The woven cover is really effective. Those pages look like they might soak up the ink from a fountain pen like blotting paper. Be interesting to see what happens if you decide to do an ink sketch.
The fairy garden is looking really lovely. I probably shouldn't say it and tempt fate, but you seem to have created a good barrier to stop them getting on there. Is it finished now, or are you adding anything else to it?

  2. Not a lot more, may try making a bike from paper clips and buttons! Hopefully I will use the little note book this week some time.
