The trip was cancelled due to the heat. I thought about going to aqua fit but my ankle is extremely tender at the moment so jogging about in the water for and hour and then walking home probably wouldn't have been the smartest thing to do. Tina dropped me off in town, I did wander down to the top of the south bay, lots of people about today enjoying the hottest day of the year.
Struggling with the ankle today, \I am doing the exercises more regularly and at the moment it seems to be aggravating it! But hopefully that means it is making it work and it will improve, still trying to keep optimistic! I wanted a sit down and thought I would have lunch out, but everywhere seemed to be heaving! Then I saw a sign pointing up a alley and there was a cafe called 'Relish'. Very nicely decorated, very quiet when I went in and pleasant staff. Loved this brilliant wall!
I made my way along to the studio and had a chat with Sandy, then decided to paint a tile while I was there. That should be glazed and fired this week so will be able to see the finished article then.
Charlie slipped out of the front door as we were leaving this morning and was not waiting when I returned, will go down and look for him in a minute. Colonel still seems very off colour, he went out to sunbathe when I opened the back door.
Looks a glorious day in Scarborough. Lots of people, but there'll be more next week as the kids break up this week. Hope there's not too much traffic at the beginning of the week. I hadn't thought of that.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great wall in the cafe, very unusual. Considering it was such a hot day and busy, the cafe does look very empty. Shame that.
Like the tile, is it just another coaster, or for a particular reason.
Hope Charlie makes it home.
It is a bigger tile, like th robin one Darren and Tina have as a teapot stand. so not sure really, if it turns out well may try to frame it. The traffic shouldn't be too bad that early in the morning.
