Yesterday in The Works I bought a craft binder and a small pack of papers. I am going to cover the binder in a patchwork sort of pattern and keep patterns I have made in there.
Tina and I set off before 10 am to go to Hull, Tina had an eye appointment a bit later in the day. We went to Hobbycraft and then went to Newland Avenue where the optician is. We had dinner in a great Polish cafe, I have never been to a Polish place before, I had potato pancakes with mushroom sauce, it was delicious.

We headed back then, as Tina had a wedding rehearsal to take and I was going to do the 'bodyguard' duties. Then I took some photos of the choir for her. But in the way back we stopped at Staxton Hill and I took some pics, had to stand on the picnic table!

We had about half an hour indoors and then off to the church. Quite pleased with the sketch I did there this evening.

  1. A patchwork cover for the binder is very appropriate if you're going to store quilt patterns in it.
I'm really envious of your lunch at the Polish cafe. I've never been to one! Bet the food was delicious.
Great view from Staxton Hill, and very nicely framed with the two trees. I'm not sure climbing on a picnic table with a bad ankle and knee is such a good idea though :-)
A lovely sketch to finish off with too.

  2. Tina was there to make sure I got down safely! You would have really enjoyed the food.

  3. I bet I would have done. You really would think I'd have been to a least one Polish cafe or restaurant over the years, all things considered.
