I was talking to a lady in the church last night who has had a couple of bad Achilles flare ups in the past. One time they actually put her foot in a 'pot' for a long time, and another time she had ultrasound treatment. As mine has gone on for so long now, and if they plastered her up that would suggest that it needs to be immobilised, so today I haven't gone out at all and am going to try a couple of days of really resting it to see if that makes any difference. Not at all likely to make it worse, so worth a try. I started cutting the shapes for the file binder yesterday evening and this morning finished the cutting out and got them stuck on. I had some decoupage glue left, so covered it to prtoect it a bit.
I had a message from Sandy saying my tile was ready and she really liked it. Tina had to go out this morning, so she called into the studio to collect it for me. I am very pleased with it, really sweet.
Yesterday in Hobbycraft I bought a little ceramic money box for £1. I got the Sharpie pens out and coloured it on one side, may use spray varnish so that it won't wash off.
Not planning to surface again tomorrow, unless I go and take some more photographs for Tina, but if I do she will take me to everyone in the car so I won't be doing too much walking. The Strictly Prom is on tonight so I will enjoy that!

  1. Well let's hope not using the ankle as much as possible helps. As you say, I can't do any harm. I'd definitely prefer ultrasound to a pot! Or better still just a miraculous cure.
I see you've still kept busy even though you've had a lazy day. I like the pattern on the folder. Is or greyscale or just mute colours? Would make a nice quilt. The tile is really lovely. I'm amazed you can get that amount of detail when painting on something like that. The money box looks like it's got a slot big enough for 50p's, so you'd get a few quid in there.
More photography assignments tomorrow. I hope you charge plenty :-)

  2. They are grey and very muted colours, you are right, they would be great in fabric for some quilting. The tile is on a stand on the table, that won't be going anywhere.

  3. Love the tile, very pretty, Well Done!. Those sharpie pens are great and so easy to use and have around. Very popular now. Hope the ankle improves if you keep off it. Xxx
