Yesterday evening, after the wedding rehearsal, we set off for Kings Lynn, we arrived at The Grange hotel after 10 pm. Jane, the owner met us, offered us fresh milk and carried it upstairs for us, and showed us the room. The room was on the top floor, so rather a lot of stairs. It was a family room, a nice building.
I decided to sleep in this bed in the alcove near the loo!
Comfy beds, plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits and chocolate, we both slept well. We took everything down with us when we went to breakfast to save walking up the top again. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice and good service. The staircase is fabulous.
The building is very impressive, out bedroom was the one up in the eaves on the right hand side.
My foot was very sore today but we managed to see most of the shops and got some bargains, We also had a lovely lunch at Cafe Roasta before we made our way to see Tina's brother and collect the kitten. A couple of shots from Kings Lynn.

We had a couple of hours there and then Tina had the long drive home. Going down took about three and a half hours, coming home four and a half, so Tina had to bring the cat in and head straight off for a meeting. Will get a picture of 'Blue' tomorrow.

  1. The hotel looks lovely from the outside. A really nice place to stay. I suppose it had to be the one right at the top of the stairs, Sod's law really when you've got a bad foot! It is a nice staircase though. A long old trip both ways, but worth it I think. Eight hours driving to get a kitten. I hope it's VERY cute :-)
