I have had a stay in and not do more than I have to day, as my ankle was quite sore when I got up today. My own fault as I decided to take the walk to see Sandy and then into town yesterday when I had done a bit more over the last couple of days. Pushing my luck a bit there, should have quit while I was ahead! I have spent many hours today knitting the wings of the dragon, well, one wing completed and the other started anyway! I think only one dragon will get made and will be received by someone very special, unless someone offers me a small fortune to purchase it!! Here are the pieces so far...
I am hopeful that it will indeed actually look like a dragon when it is stuffed and assembled. Tina often buys me some flowers, which is lovely, she got me some on Monday and they have been on the landing until today.A very bright and sunny bunch they are.
The good news of the day is that the fairy garden has survived the first night without a slug and snail attack, I have just been down to water the bonsai trees and the little garden is still full of plants, so first round to me! There is a rose at the side of the garden which most of the year looks like a dead stalk, but not it really is a rose between the thorns and weeds for a while, very bold coloured flowers.
Off to the church with Tina to sit in at the wedding rehearsal, and then we have the long drive down to Kings Lynn. Just an over night stay and collecting the kitten tomorrow.
The dragon is coming along nicely, and I'm sure it'll look really good when it's done. You may even keep it yourself. I look forward to seeing the finished article.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers have opened up a bit since I saw them on Monday. They really are bright and colourful. Perfect for sketching when you have a spare minute or two :-)
Enjoy your trip kitten collecting.
Back now, think it will be a day with more knitting tomorrow as the ankle is pretty bad at the moment!
