I got the three bags completed with buttons, Sandy chose the green one for her mum.
I walked up to the studio to see Sandy and Donna, had a chat with them and then went to Boyes. Wanted some different elastic to make the loops on bags/cases, that is if I decide to make any more! Then went through town, forgot to pick up my prescription for gel for my leg, and headed home down Dean Road. This new cafe has opened, really like the name.
In case you can't make it out it is Let it Brie. Had a cup of tea with Tina and the back door was open. While we were chatting Charlie came home from his wanderings. He has gone off again, but at least we know he can find his way back now. I got four acer trees a while ago, they have really struggled with the windy conditions here, I bought them down nearer to the house and we did lose one anyway. But the other three are all beginning to show new growth and looking like they might survive.
My bonsai trees are looking healthy, they give me a lot of pleasure, even though I haven't shaped and pruned them properly!
The thistle that I planted in one of the pots has developed super seed heads, we are hoping that the finches might find them!
One more plant picture, the indoor begonias that I got three or four weeks ago seem to be growing in front of out eyes and one almost has a flower open now.
The tennis today has been excellent and I have been in slightly less pain, so a definite improvement on yesterday!

  1. The bags look great, the addition of the button makes them look different. Strange really. Maybe it's just me!
Is the new cafe on your list to try out? They all need testing.
The bonsai have really gone mad. They're so green now, you wouldn't think some of them used to look like little bits of stick stuck in a pot! You've kept those going really well over the years. I see the stand is still surviving too.
Bet the tennis will get even better if Murray wins through to the final :-)

  2. He did win, so grand prix and Wimbledon on Sunday! They sell cheese in that cafe as well, I will try in on the way home from town one day. It is a quiet road as far as walking traffic goes, so I hope they ok.

It's your duty to try out the cafe. Might turn out to be a nice little place.
