Today I have had a bit more exercise than I have in a while, and I think I am paying for it this evening! I went up to the pool for the aqua fit class, a full hour of movement and actually quite strenuous. More so that when I attended a class in Peterborough, and also that was only 40 minutes. I walked back through the park and was pretty achy by the time I got here. I had a cup of tea with Tina who got in at about the same time, hung my swimming stuff up to dry, took some pills and then set off to walk to the studio. I am still using the paingone pen as well, but not really sure how much effect it is having. There was a guy painting upstairs windows of one of the guest houses on North Marine Road, and it was a novel way of reaching them.
I cleaned the paint pots up at the studio and refilled some then walked into town. I was struggling a bit by then, so when I had done what I needed to do I caught the bus home. This daisy flower in the front garden has got a second lease of life since we have had some rain.
It seemed a shame to have all these flowers and not attempt to put pen to paper at least once. The yellow gladioli are much brighter that the others, but the painting in real life doesn't look quite so sharp in contrast as the photo does!
Lazy evening ahead now I think, although I had planned to shorten a couple of pairs of trousers.
Quite a busy and tiring day then, but you still find time, and the inclination, to do a drawing! I have to say it's a very nice drawing too. I've never done aquafit, but an hour of exercising with the water giving resistance must be hard work. They do say it's better on your muscles and joints though, so I hope you see some rewards from it. And if it's included in you pool subscription then get your monies worth!
ReplyDeletePainting from a cherry picker is a good idea, specially on those tall old buildings, much safer than a ladder, but a bit more expensive I bet. They'll be putting up the B&B prices.
The daisy flower is very colourful.
Luckily the aquafit is only once a week, so I have time to get in the mood for the next session! Used my newest fountain pen to draw the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGlad the pen is getting some use. I might even make another pen another day. Then again.....
ReplyDeleteI hope so, I use all of mine so you can never have too many!
ReplyDeleteYou can have too many, I've got dozens :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, if any are in need of a good home............
