Such amazing skies again last night, this evening there is plenty of cloud cover so the camera can have a rest!

I thought I would continue trying to do a bit more walking and headed off to the park and then the glen. It started to rain as I got on my way, but it was light, so I continued anyway. The street is so busy at the moment that Darren and Tina are having trouble getting on it to park! Took a picture of Darren's van, with Tina's car a little way up the road, that was Tennyson Avenue!
There are some amazing begonias in the flower beds in the park, they are huge.
I walked to where I sometimes feed the squirrels, but none were around, so I continued a bit further into the glen. took a picture of the fabulous tree that I did a drawing of a few weeks ago.
I went on for a bit, didn't get as far as the cemetery but quite a way and sat on a bench where I was quite sheltered as it was raining fairly hard by then. Walking back down I took a picture of the lovely mahonia plant, looking brilliant with the rain to freshen it up.
Then one of the glen in the rain, as don't think I have walked there in the rain before.
A picture of the begonia bed as I made my way home.
The post had arrived when I got home and the 'paingone' pens that I ordered for myself and Tina had arrived. (Desperate measures.......) I have used it a couple of times, seemed worse to start with, but will give it a good test. I think Tina feels that it might be helping her, but it is early days. Darren and I did a bit of shopping and since then I have been watching tennis on and off.

  1. The moon in that sky picture is very small, but just finishes off the composition nicely. You really should back your photos up as I'm guessing you have a few on the laptop. If the hard drive decided to pack up you'd me a little miffed I think.
Parking really is ridiculous around there when the cricket season starts. I thought it was bad on my road!
Walking in the rain is nice sometimes, specially if it really warm too. Not so good for the camera though that's the only trouble. You got some good shots considering the weather was bad.

  3. A friend of our had the paingone pens some years ago, thought they were very good so Good Luck. Why has Tina got them? Parking is something that will only get worse especially in the so called summer at the seaside. It's one of those things us drivers have to put up with if we want the use of wheels.
