This morning Darren and I went to the boot sale. We enjoy our Cumberland sausage sandwich and cup of tea when we get there. I managed about half of the stalls, my ankle wasn't too bad but my knee was playing up today. The jury is still out on the pen, but I will try it for a bit longer yet. I got a sort of tray table that has a drawer and a side that can be raised. It will be good for when I am painting or doing calligraphy when I have the tv on. Haven't got a tv in the bedroom, not something I have ever got into.
It has got fold under legs as well, so on a large table you could have it raised a bit higher. I also got this little ceramic cottage which I think will be great for a fairy garden. It was 50p and actually a night light burner, but it ideal for what I am looking for.
I did get two Liam Neeson films as well, so that will be good when I want a lazy afternoon with my feet up. We had dinner at two and watched a bit of the grand prix, Louis won which always pleases me! Then I came up here and watched Andy Murray win the singles, but I had been more emotional when a Scot won the wheelchair singles earlier. The ladies doubles pair in wheelchairs had an British player too. I went down to watch the main mixed doubles with Tina and watch a very happy Heather Watson win that with her partner. The announcers kept saying we had two British successes today, but we actually had four, I don't often have the urge to write in, but today might be the day!! A quick drink to make before more tv, I like the Dr Blake Mysteries - square eyes, that's me!

  1. Well that answers my question from earlier asking if you got any bargains. Looks like you did. The tables are very useful. I have one in the bedroom which is ideal for putting the iPad or laptop on when I'm in bed. It gets used a lot. The little fairy house is cute, and certainly a lot cheaper than the accessories they sell at the garden centre!
Glad you had a good afternoon watching the sport. We would have had five victories today if the England football team were any use at all, but they're not!

  2. We did have five, Lewis winning the grand prix, so could have been six (in all of our dreams!)
