Yesterday evening quite a nice sky again, getting to be daily at the moment.
My ankle is literally being a pain, so had already decided that today was letter writing and relaxing time to try and get it to settle down. Made a serious attempt to help keep the post office in business!
Love that writing paper set, got it at Irton garden centre. Have seen lots of packs with note cards but this one had matching writing paper and envelopes.Used the new fountain pen and the new ink. Pen from Mike, cartridges from Darren, the ink is teal and quite subtle. I did walk down to the post box, thankfully very near, as my ankle made it quite clear that walking was not on the agenda today! These small daffodils with several flowers on each stem have bloomed now.
I have been trying to plan a spider cushion cover in small squares and triangles, so as I was sitting around today drew it up on the graph paper and coloured it so it is easier for me to get it right when I start sewing so many small pieces together.
Took the sky earlier, not sunset as this afternoon, just nice to look at!
I don't think I will be venturing far again tomorrow.

  1. That's a lot of letters! I don't think I've written that many in my entire life! Glad the pen is functioning well, although I'll get another nib ready on standby for when you wear that one out :-) You've reminded me about the website for the ink, so I'll go have a look at the colours again now while I remember.
The spider looks good, but you're going to have a hell of a lot of squares and triangle to make and sew together. It'll probably take you as long as a full sized quilt.
That's a great looking sky in the final picture. Lots of different types of clouds going on.

    1. It probably will take as long as a bed quilt, the squares are only going to be an inch square, so fiddly too. I thought that was a great afternoon sky, not quite so many clouds now. Hopefully that is the letter writing done for now!!
