Lovely sky again last night, I have such a good vantage point here!

This morning Darren, Mike and I went to the car boot sale, which did take place today, the field was still quite muddy. We had a nice sausage sandwich and cup of tea when we arrived. This afternoon Mike and I made our way down to watch the final stage of Le Tour of Yorkshire. The crowd was building up well with over an hour to go before any cyclists arrived.
That was before we made our way down the cliff, this one was from when we were going along the Marine Drive.
There were a couple of lads going up and down with these silly carts, they weren't collecting money so just for fun presumably!
Lots of bikes and  cars announced the imminent arrival of the riders.
The tv helicopter started circling.
I am fairly sure this was the leader!
This was the first large group.
Some of the spare bikes making their way to the finish.
A later lone rider, still plenty of people cheering him on.
Loads of police motor bikes from all over the country, they were all parked together at the end and getting well earned refreshment.
We had watched the grand prix with Darren and Tina before we went out, so a sporty day. We had dinner in and a quiet evening planned.

  1. I actually got to see the first two pics live for a change, we'll all the pics actually. It's good to see the sunsets in person, be ause the pics always make me envious :-)
All in all a really good day. Was good to go booting even though it was a bit chilly, and the sausage bap and tea made up for that. The end of the cycle race was great to see too. Such a well organised event, and loads of people to cheer the cyclists home. Shame we had to scale a hill to get down and back up again, which didn't do your ankle much good :-( At least the weather held out for it all.
