Sepia skies last night, and as they were, not special effects!
I caught the bus at the end of the road into town this morning to save the ankle a bit. It stopped near the post office, which is where I wanted to be as I sent the quilt square off in good time, but paid to have it signed for as well. I got a few bits before making my way to the studio where I painted another one of the plant pot holders.
I had a parcel to send off so went to the bus stop again but it was either very late or not running today. I came home and strapped the ankle up and was going to walk into town, but I didn't get much further than the end of the road because it was just too painful, Came back and planted the three daisy type flowers that I have had for a few days into the front garden. It had rained a bit so the ground wasn't quite so like concrete as it has been!
An aquilegia alpina is flowering in the front garden, don't remember planting it and I will keep an eye on it as although they are lovely they do spread like weeds.
The several headed tulips have still not opened, but this one is almost there!
I have shortened some trousers for Sandy this afternoon and have started cutting up the fat quarters that were part of my prize yesterday, but am not concentrating properly and have made a couple of mistakes, so will leave it for today. Looking forward to Have I Got News For You tonight and a new comedy called Love,Nina.
They really are gorgeous skies! That'll teach me not to take the micky like I did yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI like the plant holder, it's an unusual pattern. When I first saw it I thought 'camouflage'. I'll be interested to see what it looks like when fired as I can never make that leap in my mind.
Shame you couldn't make it back into town, but at least you got a bit of gardening done. It's looking very colourful.
I knew you were only teasing, you are a bit of a sky nerd like me!! There really is no sun tonight, and I don't think it is hiding and about to make an appearance! I hoe the pot will look good, just used the three different greens.
ReplyDeleteYes I love the skies. So many people don't even look at them when they're out and about. Heathens :-)
ReplyDeleteThey don't know what they are missing!
