A more dramatic sunset yesterday.

The ankle seems a little better so made a flask and took a walk to the park. I did go into the glen, but not as far as usual. Far enough to see two new sculptures.

There are a couple of new benches as well, so I sat on this on and had a drink and read my book for a while.
On the way back the reflections were great.

Another picture of that pretty tree in the sunshine!
Loved this little tree on it's own little island!
The rest of the day has been taken up with deciding on borders and quilting to finish off the spider hanging. Quite effective but no more inch squares I think!!

  1. Wow! What a great set of pics tonight. The sunset is glorious, and the park looks lovely in a bit of sunshine. So many things to photograph there. Love the new sculptures too. Don't think you'll ever get bored with going there.
The spider was definitely worth the effort you've put into it. I know you're not intending to do any more with small squares, but since talking to you about it, it occurred to me that the square design lends itself perfectly to old computer graphics in games etc like space invaders. So you could design a quilted hanging with a very modern twist for someone into computers who lives a bit below you :-) Just a thought......sorry.

  2. Thanks for that idea Mike! Hopefully Darren doesn't read the comments! You are right, I don't think I would ever get bored with walking in the glen. Pleased with the effect of the spider, as you say, was worth the effort!
