Just one sky picture from last night, I took such a lot!!
Tina dropped me in town this morning, my ankle is not great, but as resting hasn't helped I have decided I just need to get on with it! Made my way down the cliff path to the south bay, but a different way to usual, so a few shots from different angles.

I think the Grand does look very grand from that angle! I had a sit down before reaching ground level and took this shot of the south bay.
The cliff garden is looking gorgeous, I looked but didn't climb!
I caught the open top bus back to the north bay and then cut through the park. These adorable little Canada geese were on the putting green.
When I got home I made a start on getting my design for the quilt for the queen onto the material!
As there were baby birds at the park I suggested to Darren and Tina we went and had a sausage sandwich lunch at The Mere and see if there were babies there as well. They though it was a good idea, so off we went. This was dad, or maybe mum, swearing at us for getting near!
A bit further round Canada geese with very young babies.
Shall we go for a swim or not?
Then a few more joined in!
Mum and dad went on guard when there was a dog approaching.
This lady mallard was displaying her lovely tail feathers as we went by.
There was a cormorant drying it's wings out on the jetty.
I was hobbling a bit, but it was worth it! Have started embroidering the outline of the British Isles now, then I have to decide on the writing and flowers. Have just watered the gardens as we are desperate for rain here!

  1. Some great pic today. I love the second one, with the archway in the distance, and the baby birds are so cute. You can't go too wrong with pics of them. Looks like it was a nice sunny day as well, which helps.
Well worth a bit of an achey leg to have seen all that today, and a sausage bap for lunch, doesn't get any better :-)

  2. Did enjoy being out and about and lots of photo ops too! The Canada geese were really young goslings.
