Yesterday evening, after the sun had gone down, the sky seemed to be glowing,
Cloudy today so I don't think there will be any lovely skies tonight. This morning I thought it was time to try the bike. I haven't used it for months due to ankle and knee pains, and excessive winds. I need to decide whether I can use it or need to sell it. Darren got it out of the porch for me and assembled it. I only went into town, it doesn't affect the ankle at all, which is good, but my knee wasn't particularly happy! I stopped at the studio on the way back, didn't call in last week. Sandy would like my help for a few hours on Saturday, payment in pottery to paint, so that's okay. The jury is out for the bike, but I will take a few more short rides and see if the knee gets used to it! When I was in the glen yesterday I was sitting opposite a tree that I thought would be good to sketch, so made my way there again today. forgot the camera so no glen photos today. I did have the monkey nuts with me and sat in a quiet spot had several squirrels enjoying them. Not as tame as in the more popular feeding areas, but they kept coming close and looking at me hopefully! I took my fountain pen and a water brush and sat and sketched the tree.
I am a bit achy this evening, have just used the shock treatment machine hoping it will help. I like Holby and In The Club later.
That a really nice sky pic. The trees as a silhouette, and the 3/4 sky are a really good combo.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you wanted to get back to the park and sketch that tree, it's a great shape. Really wish I could do that!
Maybe a few trips out on the bike will convince you to hang on to it. It's a real shame you have the knee trouble when riding as its a great little thing to get you, and your sketching stuff, around in the nice weather. But if it's going cripple you every time there's not a lot of point keeping it.
I was pleased with that sketch, when I start a tree I wonder where it will go and am pleased if it works! Will have a short ride n the bike tomorrow if it isn't raining.
