I did take a picture of the sky last night, but the photo is lost as were any I took earlier today as the memory card failed. So a reprieve for those who get bored with sky pictures! My ankle is still sore so Tina and I decided to go to the Mere and get some fresh air at lunch time and walk if I felt up to it. Before that I sat and stitched the triangle squares together, this is going to be one fiddly piece of work!
We enjoyed our trip to the Mere, I only walked a very short distance to a comfortable bench! Then we both read for a while and enjoyed the sounds and actions of all the birds. I did spot our first ducklings just before we left, but the camera decided I wasn't taking pictures of them today! I got on with ironing the triangle squares, they will be about one and a half inches before sewing like the plain squares.
I have ironed them all open now and then have to go through them and trim each one to the exact size - this wasn't the best idea I have ever had!
Meantime I have finished the book I got in Stamford last week. The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul. A great story but with lots on insight into life in Afghanistan.
Off now to trim endless little squares!

  1. Shame about the memory card playing up. I never get bored with good sky pics.
I see what you mean about fiddly! Looks like you're ploughing into it though. Whatever you do, don't sew them together in the wrong order or you'll be "slightly annoyed" having to unpick them! It'll be worth all the fiddling about when it's done.

  2. If I sew it together in the wrong order it will either stay like it or end up in the bin, unpicking on such small pieces is a step too far!! Nice sky tonight so should be on track tomorrow!
