This morning I marked up the writing on the quilt square and tested if I could sew it with metalic thread. It does shred so had to use fairly short lengths. The finished outline.
Then with part of the writing done, before I continued with the lower part.
Then the writing finished and ironed before starting on the next stage.
I have looked up emblems for the countries and may get on with that tomorrow. Darren and I went to the Stained Glass Centre for a look round and lunch. I booked up to do a short course there next week. Back here for a while and prepared some veg for tonight and then Darren drove me into town so that I could attempt to give blood. If I failed this time I was going to give up going for good! But actually the blood was fine today and I gave my 'armful'! I walked back home and called in to Aldi on my way back. My ankle was really hurting but I got home ok. Passed the little green area opposite the station and took a photo of the pond there, the reeds are growing well now.
These are the flowers I bought yesterday at the local shop, I will hopefully get them planted tomorrow.
A lovely close up of the Californian poppy I got at the boot sale.
Then, finally the sky tonight.
Another busy day for you you, and a another nice sunset at the end.
ReplyDeleteThe patch is coming on well considering you've not had it long. I don't think you'll have any trouble getting it in on time. Fingers crossed then. You never know it could get picked.
The pond looks a bit better than I remember it. Are the reeds new, I don't remember seeing them?
The reeds were there last year, they had probably died down when you saw them. Meeting Anne from Hull (from when I ran the hostel there) she is on holiday with her mum up here for a few days.
