Will start with a sky picture from last night. No sun or sunset tonight!
I sat and did some of the embroidery on the quilt fit for a queen yesterday evening, until my thumb became too painful. Finished it off this morning so I can get it sent off in plenty of time.
Tina is working on an assignment today but joined Darren and I for a trip to Irton Garden Centre and lunch. I went outside to see if they had any broken pots, will explain why in a minute, they didn't but I took a picture of the garden ornaments while I was there!
I have seen pictures of fairy gardens in broken plant pots and really want to try and create one. I bought some fairy garden bits at Irton today, now just need to get designing and find some broken pots!
Darren and Tina dropped me off at the ceramic studio so that I could collect my plant pot holder and also hear about their pottery camp days. Pleased with the pot holder.
While I was with the girls Sandra from Quilters Corner called in to say hello and to tell me I had won a competition they had. I called in and got this nice collection of quilting bits.
Sandra also gave me a fabulous belated birthday present. This collection of great materials that will be great for when I start the landscape hangings.
The walk back was a bit painful, but it has been a good day!

  1. No sunset in Scarborough. Is the world coming to an end!
I'm looking forward to seeing the fairyscape when it's done. I like anything in monitored, and particularly like the Hobbit door. The pot holder turned out really well. Shame you'll cover all the centre up when you put a pot in it. You really need to put an ivy in it.
That's a fair collection of winnings and pressies. You definitely won't be getting bored any time soon :-)

  3. Well done you for winning a prize. The map embroidered cloth is coming along nicely. The belated birthday gift is really good right up your street.
Don't over do things with the walking. Have you given up on the bile? Xx

  4. Yes, sadly, I think the bike is a no go. Took the bus into town today for the first time and walked back. xxx
